Policy for Twisted Realities LARP Events
At Twisted Realities, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment for all participants. We recognise and celebrate the diversity of our community and strive to ensure that everyone, regardless of background or ability, can fully enjoy and participate in our Live Action Role-Playing (LARP) events. We are however a not for profit Social Club and whilst we will endeavour to provide the facilities to ensure as many people can take part as possible this is dependant on funding and community support!
Commitment to Diversity
• We welcome participants of all backgrounds, including but not limited to ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, and socioeconomic status.
• We promote a culture of respect, understanding, and open-mindedness, encouraging everyone to express themselves freely and safely.
• Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. All incidents will be taken seriously and addressed promptly according to our code of conduct.
Accessibility Measures
• We aim to provide camping areas that are accessible to people with different mobility needs. Where and if possible, we aim to offer step-free routes, accessible toilets, and parking close to tents in the OC camping area of the site.
• Key information, including maps and schedules, will be provided in accessible formats upon request (e.g., large print or digital copies).
Inclusive Facilities
• We provide gender-neutral facilities all toilets and showers are single occupancy and available to all.
• A Quiet Space will be available for those who may need a sensory break or time to recharge.
• We endeavour to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies in meal offerings and snacks, including labelling food clearly.
Communication and Feedback
• We value open communication and encourage feedback regarding diversity and accessibility issues. Suggestions for improvement are always welcome.
• Concerns or complaints can be raised confidentially with the organisers, who are trained to handle such matters sensitively and effectively.
Continuous Improvement
• We are committed to an ongoing review and improvement of our diversity and accessibility practices, learning from participant experiences and incorporating best practices.
• Regular training materials will be provided for organisers and volunteers to ensure they are equipped to support a diverse and inclusive community.
By attending our LARP events, all participants agree to uphold these values. Together, we can create a vibrant, respectful, and accessible community where everyone has the opportunity to participate fully and enjoy the magic of the LARP experience.
